Definitions/Descriptions:

Reservations through greekaffairs:
This is an order/booking between the booker/customer and Greekaffairs. Greekaffairs offers a service based on the intervention of accommodation in Greece.

Greekaffairs is a company that operates only via the Internet offering the opportunity to reserve and book accommodation in Greece.

Greekaffairs is located in the Netherlands and is registered with the Chamber of Commerce in Maastricht under number: 14104927.
All these conditions are placed in the file of Greekaffairs at the Chamber of Commerce and are available upon request.

The Greek accommodation holder will provide the service.
Through the intervention of Greekaffairs the booker/customer contracts the accommodation for the desired length of stay; the accommodation holder is therefore responsible for the services mentioned in the contract.

Accommodation:
All offered accommodations will be visited and checked personally by Greekaffairs.
For the final choices which are made for the contract the following details apply: the accommodation will be mainly family based where the typical Greek hospitality and atmosphere can be noticed and the presence of somebody who speaks an internationally recognised language is readily available.
Greekaffairs will also try to offer a wide variety of accommodation, were typical building style and traditional living takes a leading part. The locations are chosen individually and should be easily accessible.

The Reservation:
Reservations are only possible through the Internet site of Greekaffairs. The booking process is clear and indicates clearly that the booker/customer is going to make an agreement with the accommodation owner/agent with the intervention of Greekaffairs. The confirmation that the booker/customer will receive afterwards is a binding contract. The booker/customer is therefore responsible for any duties for which they have contracted themselves to, including of course the payment. During the making of the reservation the booker/customer will divulge the necessary details concerning the accompanying participants/ travellers. All prices of the reserved accommodation are in Euros and include local taxes.

The accommodation needs your credit card details to guarantee your reservation. These details will be sending together with your confirmation to the accommodation you have reserved. Only they will receive your credit card and your personal data. Greekaffairs will only need your personal details for our administration. We will use this data very carefully and confidential.

Free of charge:
Greekaffairs will charge NO reservation fee. Our services are free of charge.

Cancellation of your reservation:
You can cancel your reservation at all times. The cost of the cancellation depends on the time of the cancellation and of the cancellation policy of the accommodation. When you cancel within the conditions no fee will apply. If you cancel not in time a cancellation fee will be apply. This fee will be charged to you by the accommodation holder without the intervention of Greekaffairs. Greekaffairs will never charge a fee. In our program there could be some accommodations with different conditions. In this case the accommodation will charge your credit card immediately and you cannot cancel or change this kind of reservation. You will be charge by the accommodation for the whole amount. For this kind of reservations we strongly suggest that the booker/customer contact their insurance agent to arrange cancellation insurance.

Payments:
The payment has to be done directly by you at the reserved accommodation. Greekaffairs will never take money from your credit card. The credit card details and your personal data will be used confidential and will only be delivered to the reserved accommodation to complete your reservation through our website. No Show:
When the booker/customer does not arrive at the accommodation on the reserved date (latest time 24.00 hours/ midnight), the accommodation holder has the right to resell or rebook the accommodation to another party. In the event that you will be arriving very late at your accommodation, please inform the accommodation holder directly. The telephone number will always be printed on your confirmation. Please keep your reservations with you when you travel, so that in the instance of a potential late show, contact can be made with the accommodation holder ensuring that your reservation will not be cancelled. When you create a no show, the cancellation policy will apply.

Responsibility:
Greekaffairs is interference between the booker/customer and the Greek accommodation holder and will take care of the correct reservations and payments.
Greekaffairs will not accept any responsibility for actions or misinterpretations made by the service providers, either for the information, photos, websites and any other sources offered or published by the accommodation holder or by others.

When the accommodation holder, being the service provider, in some way does not offer the reserved accommodation or facilities, you must remind him on the spot of this failing. In this way you can give him the chance to resolve the situation. The service and facilities that apply are mentioned on the electronic confirmation that will be sent to you after the reservation has been made.

Travel Documents:
It is the responsibility of the traveller to take care of all valid travel documents such as passport and or identity card (when ever permitted to use) and any necessary visas, vaccination documents, driving license and Green Card. Information for the necessary information can be obtained from the Greek Embassy or Greek Consular department in your home country.

Complaints:
Complaints involving Greekaffairs can be received up to one month after leaving the accommodation. This can only be done by email or written letter directly to Greekaffairs. Complaints made by telephone will not be considered. After a month the right to put in a claim is forfeited.

Disputes:
All our contracts and services fall under Dutch Law. (The UN Convention on the International Sale of Goods, CISG, is here not applicable).

My privacy:
Your privacy is very important for us. Greekaffairs will do her utmost to protect your personal data and credit card details for unauthorized use.

Your credit card:
Greekaffairs will never use your credit card to collect money. Your credit card will be used for guarantee. If you are no show or cancel your reservation to late, the accommodation holder may charge your credit card. (See cancellation policy of your reserved accommodation). To register your credit card details safely we will use the help of a “Secure Socket Layer” SSL. By this we can protect your details against unauthorized persons.

Your personal data:
This information will be used by Greekaffairs very seriously and will only be delivered to others with the purpose to complete your reservation. By giving us the permission we will keep your mail address for our mailing list. Of course we will protect your data for misuse.

Protection:
For an optimal protection we make use of a secure socket layer. This SSL has the competence to protect your data, so that it will not be traced and misused by unauthorized persons.
